Pigment Red 144 is combined from two monoazo pigment through condensation reaction(connected by aromatic diamine) to form a large molecule(molecular wieght 829). Its light fastness, heat resistance, chemical resistance, migration resistance are much higher than monoazo pigment, while color shade and brightness keep similar. Because the existence of isolation base (-CONH-) reduces the length of the conjugated system of the molecule.
The particles of Pigment Red 144 are needle-like, but well-distributed in a narrow range. Pigment Red 144 is mainly used in PVC, polystyrene plastics coloring; while used in dope dyeing of polypropylene fiber, it has stable heat resistance, high tinting strength and semi-transparent; also been used for high quality printing ink, metal decorative inks, corrosion coating and industry decorative paint.....................Read more
